Jan 6

Took our puppy Utah to a local park today for a few "new" experiences. Utah is 6 1/2 months old and is a Golden Retriever. She climbed the metal bridge a couple of times, wondered out on the frozen pond, walk through a pedestrian / bike path tunnel and walked along a very busy street. All new experiences that will help with her confidence and growth.

She was so little at 3 months.

Jan 2

I got out for a walk on Thursday - although I didn’t have the energy to walk our puppy, I was able to walk by myself. It was a lovely day and the fresh air always makes me feel better.

Today’s picture looks out over the lake in our neighborhood. Right now it is a combination of water and ice and is not smooth. There are still a few fisher people out there, and I really can’t imagine that the ice is very thick! The lake was frozen in November then thawed completely, then refrozen before Christmas and was smooth enough for skating, but we have had some recent warmer temp’s so it again stared to thaw, but has recently started to refreeze. It is pretty hard to keep up with the lakes status!

Just a short update
I am going to try and blog again.

We will see if I keep it up.

My main goal is to create a daily journal and since I already have this blog set up, it might be easier than recreating the wheel. My plan is to still talk about running, but also include a daily picture and discuss my second breast cancer diagnosis and life after.

This post is mainly just to see that everything works, since it has been 6 years since my last post.

Here is my photo from 1.1.20
While I had hoped to get outside, it just wasn’t going to happen. I felt like crap and just didn’t have the energy to get outside for a walk. I did stand outside but the shot wasn’t very good. So while I was laying on the couch watching the Badger game the sun started setting and I decided that it was good enough, right there on my couch.
