Good: Morning was a short run with Sophie, then breakfast of fruit and
coffee outside.
Good / Bad: The good, it was a beautiful morning and I decided to bike to
work. Since the weather was so nice, I decided to bike in my work clothes.
My commute is 7 miles, which depending on the weather conditions can leave
me a hot sweaty mess . . . but this mornings temps were cool enough that I
figured I would be OK. The bad, while it was a very pleasant temperature -
the humidity was pretty high and although I wasn't hot when I arrived at
work - I was a little damp from the moisture. I still opted to not shower
and simply freshen up in the rest-room.
Good / Bad: The good, my dress of choice this morning is usually a Friday
dress - not a Monday dress. It is a casual, breezy, comfy sundress (with
side pockets) with a little sweater over top. The bad, it probably has a
little too much skirt for biking. I ended up grabbing the side hem section
on both sides and tucking it into the bottom of my bike shorts, which I
wore underneath. This kept me from worrying that my skirt was going to get
caught in my tire, which would probably not happen, but I was thinking
about it as I left the house this morning.
Good: Lunch was a big salad made of CSA lettuce, yellow pepper,
cauliflower, tomatoes, cucumbers and sliced chicken. It was delicious.
Good: The end of the day bike home - is always a pleasant time to
unwind, no matter how the day went - I almost always feel better when I get
home.
Cameras: I have been looking at cameras and think I am leaning towards an updated point and shoot - I really want a DSLR - but know that I would often leave it home because of its size - and what is the point of taking a camera with you . . . If you don't carry it all the time.
Overall it was a good day!
Hey there. I just checked the blogs I follow for the first time since March. I also took a bit of a break from blogging and I needed it. I wondered where you went last fall and hoped everything was good with you. I'm glad to see you are back to posting. Take care!
